How to Learn to Breath
Improve concetration, performance and lower stress.
- Inhale deeply for 3 full seconds – then hold it in your lungs for .5 of a second - this ensures the blood is fully oxygenated.
- Exhale with a short burst (as if blowing out a candle) This helps activate your diaphragm which most people don’t even use. Less than 0.5 seconds - do not fully exhale.
- Fully exhale the rest of your breath with a long slow finish to empty the lungs. Breathlessness comes from not expelling enough CO2 – Take at least 3 seconds.
- Wait 0.5 of a second - Then inhale, filling your lungs from the bottom to the top, instead of taking short sips. Inhale for at least 3 seconds.
- Now, hold your breath for 1 second to allow oxygen to saturate the cells once again.
- Exhale slowly and completely for at least 3 seconds.
- Repeat steps 4 through 6 for approximately five minutes. Concentrate on your breathing, not the clock.
- Repeat the whole process 3-5 times a day, and you will see noticeable results over the period of one week.
